Futspot is a football social media page that covers the latest football news, matches and analysis. They also have an app and website containing more in depth articles.

The logo is a combination of an eye and a simplified football pitch viewed from above. The idea behind it is that Futspot gives you a birds eye’s view about what’s going on on the pitch.

The overall visual identity of the brand needed to be trendy and approachable to younger football fans who use social media. It also needed to stand out from the mass of information seen on social media. This was important when designing the social media templates so, we made sure the information was not too cluttered and instantly conveyed the message, we did this by using simple shapes and large text, and including smaller text for less important information that doesn’t distract from the main message.

We used a limited colour palette of bright green, white and black-green to further the idea of simplicity and to not overcomplicate the branding. Highly saturated green to stand out and also link the the football pitch. And black-green to contrast and make the lighter green and white stand out.
